Quality of Music!
There are 6 Levels of Music Quality.
Level 1: You listen some music & it registers in your brain,stays there for short time.
Level 2: Some music travels further down, by about 14 inches,to the Heart & stays there for longer time.
Level 3: After listening the Level 2 music, involuntarily you say
Aaha
Baleh
Besh
Amazing
Awesome
Sublime
Serene
Superb
Excellent
Heavenly ...Divine etc.,
Level 4: Some music takes a journey from the Heart ,pierces your Soul and stays there permanently!
Level 5 : You stop saying the above appreciative adjectives,your moist eyes automatically closes,you are swept by this Sangeetham now and you listen with undivided attention.
Level 6: Quantum teleportation happens now & you are taken to a different world!!
You loose your coordinates on this earth.
The nano meter gap between you & the music further narrows rapidly.
The 'me' listening feeling is not there and finally
Music alone exists!
From the moment this artist unpacks the instrument from the cover ,the melody oozes out & it fills the hall as well as your heart ...and it continues till the mangalam song.
Listening to this artist is a 'daily routine' for me in the morning hours & before going to sleep in the night.
Every time I reach the status explained in Level 6.
Music has Chosen this Artist & not the other way I think.
No other artist's music has impacted me SO Much in my 50+ years of listening carnatic music.
I bow down my head to this artist's abundant
Melody,
Layam,
Vidwath.
When I log out of this world, I Wish & Pray to listen this artist's Sangeetham during those 'last few' minutes.
And I wish to hear the alapana of my most favourite beautiful Saramati Ragam(Janyam of 20 th Melakarta Ragan Natabhairavi )
I am indeed a truly blessed rasika to listen this artist's blissful music on a daily basis & hope to be blessed during my final moments also.
Another Level 6 concert today.
